Friday’s 10 Happy Things
1-10. Tokyo
Got this Friday’s 10 Happy Things from Helga’s blog. Get on it!
Friday’s 10 Happy Things, before the long awaited work marathon!
- Crossing off a bunch of tasks on my checklist. I’ll be gone for a few days next week, and I wish I realized it earlier. I could’ve started working last weekend. Well honestly, I tried.
- I’ve learned to quickly forgive myself for being unproductive, get over it, and move on. Hurrah!
- CRWN at Bowery and Black Market. “JUUUUHAAAFUUU” Also, ang sarap ng fishballs sa labas ng Black Market, kailangan lang ng minimum 30 pesos.
- Posting things online, not primetime. Try it, feels so powerful.
- Shared my Mommy Hacks set on Facebook at 1 am last night and I woke up to 86 likes. WHAT. I’ve been sharing my work a lot recently because it’s all I have, charot. People have been so nice and supportive! You can see it here. Tell me what you think!
- Design discussions! Read a bunch on Paulo Alcazaren’s Facebook. Can I be the Paulo Alcazaren of interior design? I just love how he brings people to discuss our country’s urban set-up, how he shows us the changes in our environment, and how he proposes solutions to existing problems (even if they’re 3-minute sketches!). Imagine if we all practice design thinking.
- Franki the cat was featured by Sunnies Studios on their instagram. Lol, proud momma moment.
- Decor shopping with Sarah for Real Surf and Real Coast at Dapitan. Nakakapagod, very rewarding. I also love it when I get to work with friends because freelance work can be so lonely sometimes.
- Talking to my clients on the phone, because it’s so different when they text. “Ah, ‘di pala siya naiinip at disappointed, excited lang siya…”
- Stroopwafel crumbs, and a bunch of new food to try like Kangaroo Jerky. Wait, WHAT—

I’ve been posting my face a lot recently. Probably because: a) natural papampam, b) coping mechanism, c) I just love myself too much, d) working freelance = no people to talk to everyday, e) snapchat culture, or f) that longing to connect.
I deleted a bunch of photobooth selfies I posted on Twitter because I feel like it’s too much. Pero sa totoo lang, I like these selfies because they show how I really feel— or baka hindi rin, masarap lang ‘pag feeling maganda. O kapag maganda ang feeling.
Finally finished this thing after two years of neglecting it. Only used one brush and the textile paint I have here at home. Not so bad eh? At least it looks soft!
Painting it felt great. I should paint more often, or create more things. Sometimes I wonder if I’m only as good as the output of my work. If my work defines me, ganun. ‘Wag naman sana?
Monday again. Hoping for a productive week! Well, I need it to be.
Aaaaah, yes. Happy weekend, folks!
